Encouraged

There are days that, as a parent, I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle. Don't get me wrong, I have great kids. They are just kids, and kids are loud, and they fight, and they don't always behave just like I want them to. Someone is always knocking someone else in the head with a light saber or taking someones stuff or just looking at someone the wrong way. It's exhausting!!!

But then, one day, your nine year old boy will wan to go to Target and buy his little sister a toy, with HIS money. For no reason. And there it is....encouragement.

Later in the week, you may catch that same nine year old leading his brother and sister in a Bible study. Unprovoked. And again you realize that it is all worthwhile.
