July 4, 2011

Monday we went to the annual China Grove 4th of July Parade. The kids sat on the hood of the car and perfected their future politician waves.  I love going to this parade every year. There are no marching bands but plenty of lawnmowers, horses, and tractors.  It is an example of small town at it's finest.
We spent the afternoon at home and then ventured out to watch the fireworks. Metz had a blast right up until they started and then he wanted nothing else to do with it!  But we all had a good time....well....except for a few meltdowns. It wouldn't be a day in our life without a few of those :)

Great photos and so glad you all had such a great day. Olivia doesn't like fireworks either because of the noise of course.
