Therapy

I used to paint. I've never really been any good at it, my sister got all of the artsy genes, but before kids I always enjoyed painting and crafts. There's something very relaxing about tuning out everything and just creating.

As hard as I am trying to rely on God and be patient, this whole house selling process has me stressed. It's funny that when God gives you what you ask for it's still hard to give up control. So, the stress has lead me to paint, and the kids have actually allowed it and even joined in the fun. We may not be Picasso but we/I feel much more relaxed now!

i like the paintings you have shown here very much. i'm going to disregard the "my sister got the artsy genes" because of the evidence to the contrary.

can't imagine having to get ready for people coming to see the house with all you have going on, of course it's stressful.i always felt i was intruding - i especially didn't like looking in closets!

anyway, i need info on your backsplash - where do i look? also what about the stuff you said they'd pour over the existing counters?

Look at Lowes for the backsplash. That's where we got it and the website for the countertop stuff is www.granitetransformations.com it's not cheap but it keeps you from having to demo everything. we decided to keep the slate BUT if I had it to do all over again I would get soapstone or concrete.
