Making Easter Story Cookies

We made Easter Story Cookies today. The kids were happily beating and stomping on the pecans until I explained to them that those represent the body of Christ. I bet you can guess which of the photos shows Audrey's reaction to that revelation.
Then we tasted the various ingredients. I had poured some vinegar into espresso glasses. They thought it was water....and then they drank some. hehehe
Finally some good news. They tasted the sugar. The sugar that represents that Christ died so that we can live. He loves us so much that He gave up his life for our sins.
The oven was sealed just as the tomb was sealed so many years age. This morning we went back. The cookies were hollow. Jesus is ALIVE!!!
