Because of where we live when a dog wanders into our yard I feel compelled to keep it safe until we find its owners. We have fed and played with dogs that have wandered away from homes all up and down our road. The kids, of course, always want to keep them but, for now, I have enough bodies to care for.
When these dogs wander up they will, inevitably, tree one or both of our cats. That's a pretty common thing. I mean, how often have we seen the fire dept. or police called (on TV or in movies) to get a cat out of a tree?
This, however, is just odd...
Isn't he cute. And, of course, the kids wanted to keep him!

As long as they stay outside I'm happy. It's just part of living in the woods. If they ever made it into the house...well, that would be a different story. But that's what the cats are for,right?
