This afternoon FBC had a cook out at the Campbell's pond. It is a beautiful place and although it was HOT we all had a good time fishing and playing.
The kids fish often with Paw Paw (my dad) so they went right to work trying to reel one in.
Brooks especially enjoys fishing and doing all things boy.
Eli, on the other hand, enjoys doing all things rough. He decided it was a good idea to use Rob's fish as a punching bag.
And then it all went downhill. Rob caught another large fish and somehow managed to hook the fish and himself....at the same time. After attempts by many people to remove the offensive hook we finally decided to take him to the ER. On the way to the car James Key saw Rob's finger and said, "I can get that out." And he did! He wrapped some fishing line around that hook and gave a little tug and out it popped. He saved us from sitting in the ER for hours and spending mucho money on a silly little hook. So all's well that ends well!

oh my. i thought this was going to be about someone falling in the water. that hook picture is something else.
